Sales increased 8.4 percent from March, when there were 1,197 total sales. Average sales price year-over-year increased 7.3 percent to $146,070. Inventory increased 2.8 percent, with 6,088 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume increased 3.9 percent to $645.3 million

Memphis-area home sales for January were down 14.9 percent from a year ago, with 1,083 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Sales were flat from December, when there were 1,088 total sales. Average sales price year-over-year increased 10.9 percent to $139,721. Inventory was down 5.5 percent with 5,849 units listed for sale. January sales volume decreased 5.6 percent to $151.3 million from 2013

However, YTD sales for 2013 rose 6.7 percent to 16,159. Average sales price YTD increased 10.6 percent to $143,395. Inventory was down 4.8 percent with 6,190 units listed for sale. Memphis-area home sales for November were down 2.9 percent from a year ago, with 1,154 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Total sales declined 16.3 percent from October. Average sales price YTD rose 10.7 percent to $143,341. Inventory was down 1.7 percent with 6,504 units listed for sale. Sales volume YTD increased 19.4 percent to $2.15 billion.

Total sales were down 23.1 percent from August. Average sales price YTD rose 10.2 percent to $142,738. Inventory was up 1.2 percent with 6,678 units listed for sale. Sales volume YTD increased 21.1 percent to $1.78 billion.

Total sales were up 17.5 percent from June. Average sales price year-over-year rose 8.8 percent to $161,399. Inventory was up 2.6 percent with 6,744 units listed for sale. Sales volume YTD increased 21.8 percent to $1.34 billion.
