MEMPHIS, Tenn., – August 8, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Memphis-area home sales for July increased 22.5 percent from a year ago, with 1,714 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Total sales were up 17.5 percent from June. Average sales price year-over-year rose 8.8 percent to $161,399. Inventory was up 2.6 percent with 6,744 units listed for sale. Sales volume YTD increased 21.8 percent to $1.34 billion.
