Cabinets To Go Expanding in Lawrenceburg
Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Cabinets To Go officials announced today that the Lawrenceburg-based company will expand its operations in Lawrence County. Cabinets To Go plans to invest $6.5 million and create nearly 70 new jobs in Lawrenceburg.
THDA to expand $15,000 homebuyer assistance program
Starting November 1, families buying homes in seven additional ZIP Codes across Tennessee can apply for $15,000 in financial assistance from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency. With these additions, there will be 61 designated ZIP Codes for THDA’s HHF Down Payment Assistance program, stretching from Memphis to Kingsport.
August Market Report
Memphis-area home sales for August increased 10.3 percent from a year ago, with 1,942 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 11.2 percent from July when there were 1,747 total sales. Average sales price from August-to-August was up 4.4 percent, at $183,175. Inventory decreased 2.1 percent, with 4,713 units listed for sale. Year-to-Date sales volume was up 13.7 percent at $2.24 billion.
Mental Health Cooperative in Davidson County Awarded $2.6 Million
The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) has announced the recipients of the Pre-Arrest Diversion Infrastructure Grants. “The research indicates people with mental illnesses tend to stay in jail longer and when released, face a higher recidivism rate,” said TDMHSAS Commissioner Marie Williams.

Memphis-area home sales for July increased 4.5 percent from a year ago, with 1,747 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®MAARdata property records database. Sales were down 7.4 percent from June when there were 1,887 total sales. Average sales price from July-to-July was down 0.7 percent, at $180,432. Inventory increased 0.8 percent, with 4,815 units listed for sale. Year-to-Date sales volume was up 12.7 percent at $1.86 billion.

Sales were up 6.1 percent from May when there were 1,779 total sales. Average sales price from June-to-June was up 1.6 percent, at $186,626. Inventory increased 1.7 percent, with 4,777 units listed for sale. Year-to-Date sales volume was up 13.3 percent at $1.53 billion.
