Michael Mathes and Chris Roberts receive awardChief Rausch said due to a conflict with a contract, the department found itself without a cleaning company until another contract could be awarded. In order to keep the building clean for both the public and employees, Michael and Chris were asked to collect trash, clean, and sanitize the bathrooms. They graciously completed these tasks in addition to performing their regular job responsibilities.

Chief Rausch said, “Their attitudes remained extremely positive even when they encountered situations that went way beyond the scope of their job descriptions.” “They are great examples of how effective a good attitude can be in a difficult situation. They accepted the task and kept the building clean until a new company was hired,” Chief Rausch concluded.
