Public Meeting Dec. 5 for Community Development Dept. Annual Action Plan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 21, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The City of Knoxville’s Community Development Department is developing its 2014 Annual Action Plan for use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Act, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds during the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2014.

This plan will include projects and activities the City will perform from July 2014-June 2015 to address the housing, infrastructure, service, and other community needs identified in the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan.

A public meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013, in the community room at the Cansler YMCA, 616 Jessamine Street. This meeting will be an opportunity for Knoxville residents to provide input to City staff about community development, housing, and homeless needs and issues.

El Departamento de Desarrollo Comunitario de la ciudad de Knoxville está desarrollando su Plan de Acción Anual para el 2014 para el uso de fondos provenientes de Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Act, y Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) durante el año fiscal que comienza el 1 de julio de 2014.

Este plan incluirá proyectos y actividades que la ciudad realizará entre julio del 2014 a junio del 2015 para hacer frente las necesidades en la comunidad con respecto a vivienda, infraestructura, servicios y oras necesidades en la comunidad identificadas en el Plan Consolidado 2010-2015.

Una reunión pública se llevará a cabo a las 5:30 pm el jueves 5 de diciembre de 2013 en el salón comunitario de la Cansler YMCA, ubicada en 616 Jessamine Street. Esta reunión le dará la oportunidad al público de compartir información con el personal de la ciudad sobre el las necesidades e inquietudes relacionados con el desarrollo comunitario, vivienda y personas sin hogar.
