Multifamily Executive magazine award follows ‘Project of the Year’ honor from ULI
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ — Viridian, the 31-story luxury tower in Nashville developed by Atlanta-based Novare Group and Nashville’s Giarratana Development LLC, has been named 2007 High-Rise Project of the Year by Multifamily Executive magazine. This national award, given annually to the top residential project of more than 12 stories, was announced at the recent Multifamily Executive Conference in Las Vegas.
This award follows Viridian’s designation in September as Project of the Year by the Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta District Council.
Viridian was recognized for its impact on residential growth in downtown Nashville. Prior to groundbreaking, only 10 condominium units were located in the central business district. Viridian sold out six months prior to completion. After it opened to the public, a flurry of residential developments was launched throughout the city. Viridian continues to play a key role for residents, the downtown workforce and visitors, as it contains the first grocery store in downtown Nashville since 1967.
