Memphis-area home sales for August increased 12.6 percent from a year ago, with 1,738 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 7.2 percent from July, when there were 1,621 total sales. Average sales price from August-to-August was up 6.0 percent, at $175,423. Inventory decreased 1.2 percent, with 5,666 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume increased by 10.8 percent, at $1.95 billion.

June Market Report

Memphis-area home sales for June increased 5.9 percent from a year ago, with 1,781 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 15.7 percent from May, when there were 1,539 total sales. Average sales price from June-to-June was up 5.2 percent, at $182,206. Inventory increased 1.9 percent, with 5,639 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume increased by 9.8 percent, at $1.34 billion.

The Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® Commercial Council honored the top performers in commercial real estate for 2015 at the 15th Annual Pinnacle Awards gala held April 7 at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Coming away with the evening’s highest honors were Commercial Hall of Fame inductee Phillip McNeill, Commercial Broker of the Year Joe Steffner, of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and Legacy Award winner Gene Woods. February Market Report

Memphis-area home sales for February increased 7.8 percent from a year ago, with 1,040 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database. Sales were up 8.8 percent from January, when there were 956 total sales. Average sales price from February-to-February was down 8.5 percent, at $139,335. Inventory increased 1.8 percent, with 5,474 units listed for sale. YTD sales volume decreased by 6.5 percent from February 2015, at $279.5 million.

Sales were up 11.2 percent from July when there were 1,747 total sales. Average sales price from August-to-August was up 4.4 percent, at $183,175. Inventory decreased 2.1 percent, with 4,713 units listed for sale. Year-to-Date sales volume was up 13.7 percent at $2.24 billion.
